God created all things. He created people in His image and likeness. He created them for His glory. God is the ultimate source of purpose and significance in life. He has rightful rule over us.
People rebelled against God’s good rule by rejecting His law. This rebellion began with Adam & Eve and continues in all people. Because God is just, sin must be judged and punished. All human experience is corrupted by sin.
God initiates a rescue plan in sending Jesus to die as a substitute for people’s sin. He lived the life we couldn’t and died the death we should have. He rose from the dead conquering death and destroying the curse of sin.
In Christ, people are adopted into God’s new family. Jesus restores people by faith to relationship with their creator. This is a foretaste of the ultimate restoration of all things; the resurrected body in the new heaven and earth.
