With Thanksgiving Sunday coming up this weekend, our Lead Pastor Matt Sparks shares 10 things we’re thankful for at Anchor Church this year.
1. Jesus
Jesus always is, and always will be #1 at Anchor Church. We’re thankful for Jesus. Without Him, none of this is possible.
2. New Life
We’re thankful that God uses us to draw people to himself. Nothing gets us more pumped than seeing people move from death to life. Our baptism services are the best! We’re thankful for what God has done in transforming lives this year!
3. Community
We love the community at Anchor. We do church best when we do life together in communities that are genuine expressions of family. They are places of gospel transformation for us!
4. Factory Theatre & staff
We’re thankful for the team at the Factory: Geneva, Terry, Pat and others who make this venue so great! We reckon they’re pretty rad!
5. Gospel Community Leaders
Our Gospel Community leaders are the engine room of our church. We’re super grateful for their love, time, effort, prayer, wisdom, teaching and gospel drive.
6. Volunteers
This church is not built on the gifts of a few but the sacrifices of many! We love you guys! We’re thankful for everyone who has put their shoulder to the plow for the sake of Jesus’ fame!
7. Office space
Our office space is largely paid for by one generous donor. We’re beyond grateful for them, and the space, the productivity, energy, ideas and passion that flow from their generosity!
8. Anchor Staff Team
We love our staff team! They work pretty darn hard!
9. MBM Rooty Hill & our financial supporters
We’ve had a number of external supporters seed-fund Anchor Church for the last 3 years. A huge thanks to Ray Galea and the team at MBM Rooty Hill for believing in us and helping make this happen!
10. You!
Thanks for coming on the journey! You ready for another year?!
We’d love you to join us for Thanksgiving Sunday and Baptisms this Sunday 27 November, 10:30am at the Factory Theatre, Marrickville.
