Anchor Church Sydney was planted in May 2014 in a warehouse theatre on the urban perimeter of Sydney. Over the past 2 years God has graciously grown our church from a small team of 18 people meeting in an apartment to close to 200 people today. We have a bold vision to see more lives radically transformed by Jesus, Gospel Communities multiplied across our city, and churches planted. We are seeking a dynamic leader with an infectious love for Jesus to join the team of passionate staff at Anchor Church and help us see this vision become reality.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Depending on the gifts, experience and training of the applicant, a position is available for one (or a combination of) the following roles:

Gospel Community & Discipleship Coordinator

The Gospel Community & Discipleship Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing Gospel Communities (small groups) and discipleship pathways, focusing on coaching leaders and developing content. The successful applicant will play an integral role in identifying, equipping, coaching, and multiplying new leaders and groups.

OR Connections & Integration Coordinator

The Connections & Integration Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing our Connect process, from someone’s first visit to being fully integrated into the life of Anchor Church. They will help new people see what it means to call Anchor home and live in community, on mission, for Jesus.

  • Theological Qualification (or working towards)

DESIRABLE

  • 5 years experience in a ministry leadership capacity
  • Familiarity with a missional framework for church
  • Experience working in one of the above roles

REMUNERATION

The role is a part-time and temporary position (2–3 days a week, concluding December 2017), with the possibility of further extending the contract. Remuneration will be set according to our remuneration guidelines and in accordance with experience and training.
