THE NEED FOR MID-WEEK SPACE
In March 2020, as we experienced the first signs of a lockdown, our Board of Operations made the prudent and somewhat prophetic decision to terminate the lease of our Annandale office. It was the right decision at the time and has saved our church close to $19,000 in rent.
Since then, our staff have been working remotely from their homes, cafés, other churches, and libraries. Remote work has been essential for many industries, but after an extended season it has led to increasing feelings of disconnectedness and a loss of productivity for our staff.
We believe our next step as a family is to purchase or lease a mid-week ministry centre to catalyse our current ministries and bless the generations to come.
MINISTRIES THAT WILL BENEFIT
Staff
Office space for staff. Increased productivity, collaboration, and sense of connectedness. Less time spent chasing venues for events.
Worship Team
A consistent and central space for our bands to rehearse, saving band leaders time and our church money.
Alpha
An intimate, welcoming, and comfortable space to host Alpha and invite our guests. A space that allows us to style and set up according to our needs
Training
An appropriate space with presentation facilities for all our training courses. Significant benefit for all ministries and their training needs.
Prayer Meetings
The church moves forward on its knees! One of the hindrances to a deeper prayer culture is a lack of appropriate space for prayer meetings.
TARGET: $150,000
WHAT WILL IT TAKE?
We have had a generous donor commit to personally giving $50,000 towards this campaign, as well as offering to match donations up to $50,000. That means, for every dollar you give, it’s doubled.
If we can raise $50,000 from Anchor City members, we will reach our target of $150,000 towards purchasing a mid-week space!
