“My brother has cerebral palsy. People feel confronted by disability. We can hide a lot of our life issues in western individualistic Sydney. But with disability, you often can’t hide from the fact that you need help. From an individualistic view my brother can’t offer anything to my Mum, but my Mum loves him unconditionally. This is just a reflection of how much God loves us, even though we can’t offer anything back. Meeting people with a disability continues to change my life. I look at someone and realise, “You are just like me. You are in need. I am in need”. This is what makes us fundamentally human. We all need Jesus. We all need a saviour”. – Kathy McNamara
